A YOUNG Frome archer has her sights set on qualifying for the Great Britain 2019 field team after winning several national competitions this year.
15-year old Phoebe, who is a member of Frome Archers, won titles at the British Barebow Championships (under 18 girls), the British Indoor Championships (under 16s), and the British and Open Field Archery Championships (barebow under 18 girls).
Phoebe’s mother said, “Phoebe is aiming to qualify for the GB field team for 2019. She is coached by Mere Archers, and is also a member of Frome Archers, who kindly let her use their excellent facilities to train in the summer.
“It takes a lot of dedication to get this far and it would not have been possible without people like Gloria Mead and Gerald Farrell from Mere Archers, who have given their time and expertise.”
