A range of picture of Frome have been produced by Fourmakers, a new group of four artists and designer-makers based in the town.
Sarah Clarke and Kathryn Mead met at Staffordshire University while studying a design degree.
Both looking for an interesting creative place to live they met again years later having both relocated to Frome. Ben Clarke and Heather Roughley joined the group and the team felt Frome offered a perfect mix of town and country and a wonderful eclectic mix of arts which they could tap into.
Fourmakers ethos is based on creating affordable art in a range of styles and mediums for a wide audience to enjoy. Each artist has their own inspiration and medium they prefer to work in and it ranges from fine art painting to digital prints. The group offers advice and the sharing of ideas to support the development of the Fourmakers.
Their current project has been looking at Frome and extending their own work using Frome as a starting point. This work is going to be displayed on the walls of Sofabulous Furniture behind the Westway shopping centre from Saturday 14th February and all work is for sale, this includes prints.
