Frome’s business community has been getting social media savvy at the latest business breakfast organised by Frome Town Council and Chamber of Commerce.
On Tuesday 5th January, 30 local business people came together at the Archangel to meet together and develop their online marketing skills.
The guest speaker was Jenna Yhearm of Gumption Agency: a Frome-based social media agency, that helps a number of local organisations to build and manage their brands online.
Each person was encouraged to identify a tone of voice that effectively represented their organisation and its business. From Angelina Jolie to Alan Sugar, attendees selected personalities who best reflected the character of their company.
Building a consistent online voice was identified as a key means by which organisations can translate social media presence into a commercially valuable resource for retaining and attracting customers and presenting the required sense of focus on an ethical and socially-responsible approach.
The monthly breakfasts are a unique way for Frome’s diverse employment sector to come together to share expertise and insights on specific issues affecting the local area. The event is open to all companies, charities, public sector bodies and social enterprises operating in Frome and its surroundings.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 2nd February. A delicious buffet breakfast will be provided and tickets are available at a cost of £10. Online booking is essential.
