A jacket designed by a Frome designer was worn by television presenter Declan Donnelly in the first episode of ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.’
The jacket, designed by Johnny Szymanski who runs a shop on Cheap Street, was worn by the star in the first episode of the ITV programme, which aired on 16th November.
Johnny said, “I have been a designer for about eight years but had my own brand and shop in Frome for five years. I design menswear with a mix of ready-to-wear and also made-to-measure.
“I worked with Declan Donnelly’s stylist to create a jacket that was especially for him. He chose the colour and then through a series of remote fittings, we were able to refine and tweak it to get to the final product.
“There are a few famous names that shop with me and wear my clothes, including a couple of Hollywood actors and some TV stars. But of course, I can’t say who.”
Johnny’s first shop was based on the High Pavement, and in 2023 he moved to Cheap Street to include a studio space at the back of the shop.
