Diamonds continued their impressive team performances recently despite being on the wrong end of the result.
Knowing this would be hard fixture, Diamonds showed how much they have come on recently, as good movements down court allowed Alice and Georgia to score quick goals, making sure that Corsham had to work for the result. Excellent marking and interception from Kiah, Vanessa and Jess in defence ensured that Diamonds went into half time leading by 1 goal.
Corsham made an attacking change bringing a strong GA to maximise swift quick passing around the D, to keep the score ticking over. Diamonds remained calm as Vanessa and Jess teamed up to attempt to keep the GA out of the game, along with good movement and passing into the attacking D from Elise and Tracy kept Diamonds on the attack regularly. Unfortunately Corsham ran out comfortable winners in the end 39-28, though Diamonds should feel proud of how much their team and individual performance have improved in recent games, which will hopefully bring a win in their last remaining league fixture when they face Chippenham 4.
