It may be winter, but the Frome Half Marathon’s organising committee are appealing for help to make the 2015 event on 19th July bigger and better than before.
Georgie Starkie, race director, and Nicola Player, chair, are reaching out to expand the current team. They said, “We are expecting 1,000 runners in 2015. Very much like the 2012 Olympics, we need the help of people in and around Frome to come forward and take on a role and join this thriving event. You don’t have to be sporty to help!
“The four people we are particularly looking for right now are those who will:
• Make the Race Village a more welcoming, atmospheric and exciting place • promote the events we hold on the day • organise communications on the day • work with the current route manager in 2015 with a view to stepping forward in this role in 2016.
