FOLLOWING a few tough years, what will it take to set in motion a town-wide ripple of kindness in Frome? This is one of the aspirations of the Frome Kindness Festival being planned for 1st – 6th March by local non-profit organisation, The Good Heart.
“There’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple,” say organisers Alison Murdoch and Melanie Dalton, quoting Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert cartoon.
“There are still lots of opportunities to get involved, either as an individual, organisation or business. If you’d like to join our growing team of volunteers, please come along to The Good Heart in Palmer Street for a cup of hot chocolate and a chat at 4pm on Sunday 23rd January, when we’ll be talking about our upcoming random acts of kindness initiative.
“Or come along at 4pm on Sunday 30th January, when we’ll be discussing how to say thank-you to the many people who make Frome a kind and decent place to live. If you feel in need of some winter cheer, focusing on kindness is a great way to experience it. Everyone is welcome.”
