Frome Town
THIS month saw Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) spending a morning delivering post.
Frome PCSOs Shelley and Kris spent the morning delivering anti-social behaviour surveys and parking information leaflets to various locations in Frome with regards to recent meetings that have been held and issues raised. We would like to thank the members of public who have returned their surveys already.
Frome Town Neighbourhood PCSO Victoria supported Community Speed Watch last week at Bath Road. The location is fully signposted at 30mph. In a single hour of attendance 228 vehicles passed us with 15 vehicles exceeding the speed limit in a space of 45 minutes. The vehicles recorded speeding will be receiving advisory notices soon.
Community Speed Watch is a valuable addition to your community to help ensure the safety on the roads.
Frome Town Neighbourhood Policing team conducted a Bike and Tool Marking event at The Police Post at The Cheese & Grain car park this month where we marked up bikes and tools and registered them on their prospective national databases. This is a free service that we are happy to help members of our community with.
Frome Rural
FROME Neighbourhood Team would like to introduce PCSO Louise who has transferred from the Wincanton Neighbourhood Team.
Louise will be joining the Frome Rural team to work alongside PCSO Rob and police constable John. Louise joined the Frome Neighbourhood Policing Team in July. She will predominantly be covering the rural areas of Frome and initially concentrating on getting to know the local community whilst navigating herself around unknown territory and hopefully not getting lost!
Louise previously worked in Wincanton and thoroughly enjoyed her role as a key liaison contact point between the community and policing in the two years she has been in the force.
Louise has a working background in animal behaviour and welfare and spent several years as a dog trainer. If you see Louise about (especially if you have a dog) please do come and say hello as she feels that she can make a real difference to individuals by just listening to them and endeavouring to solve their problems and most importantly, have a chat and a smooch with their dog!
Frome Rural officers have been catching up with members of the council in Leigh On Mendip with PCSOs Louise and Rob attending a meeting with Martin Carter and Vicky from the council for a catch up and to discuss partnership working within the areas they cover including Coleford, Holcombe and Cranmore. If you have any concerns in your local area, please reach out to us and get in touch to discuss further.
