Frome RFC’s 2nd XV were presented with the Bath Combination Rugby ‘Ben Hartley’ Merit Table Cup during a special evening of grassroots rugby at The Recreation Ground in Bath earlier this month.
The presentation took place at half-time during the Bath Combination Rugby Vase and Cup finals, with captain Ethan White, team manager Andy Vince and head coach Garrie Webster receiving the award from Bath Combination representative Sean Macey.
The honour follows a successful season for the 2nd XV, who secured promotion and were crowned league champions.
Team manager Andy Vince said, “It’s been a great season for the 2nd XV. We set out to gain promotion from the league and ended up doing just that and being crowned Champions.
“We’ve been blessed with a great mixture of both youth and experience across the field, with an influx of Academy players. We have a dedicated playing group, and it’s great to see their hard work rewarded.
“A huge thank you to Sean Macey, and Bath Combination for hosting us and for putting on a great evening of grassroots rugby.”
