FROME Town United U10s have been getting stuck into action recently with a game against Bath Arsenal.
The club reports that this newly-developed Frome team went down to a 4-3 defeat but put in a great display of competitive play and team spirit
Frome Town United, the home for youth development football in the town, also has a healthy girls’ team.
The club added, “It’s been amazing to see girls’ football being developed in the town – Frome Town United Girls was already strong, but now due to the recent Lionesses’ victory it has seen a further surge, and we now have some amazing coaches developing all sides.
“A very positive point is that these teams act as feeder teams to Frome Town Ladies, who are having a fantastic season. This year will again see the girls visit Wembley for the Ladies FA Cup final on Sunday 14th May, such is the popularity that two full coaches have already been put on.”
