One of the most celebrated Irish folk singers, Cara Dillon, will once again bring her much-loved Christmas tour to Frome.
Cara Dillon will perform Upon a Winter’s Night at the Cheese and Grain on Thursday 18th December, with a collection of modern and ancient carols performed with her Celtic band.
Cara, who has been a Frome resident for nearly 24 years and is a patron of the Cheese and Grain, said, “I’ve been lucky enough to perform at the Cheese and Grain many, many times. I think this year must be the fifth or sixth time I’ll be performing my Christmas show there and I just cannot wait.
“There will be so many familiar faces in the audience, which makes it feel very special. For me, it really is a show like no other.”
Cara’s Upon a Winter’s Night album reached number one in the Indie Album Charts twice when it was released in 2016. Now, in 2025, audiences from across the country are once again having the opportunity to witness this moving celebration of Christmas, with some new songs added to the setlist.
She said, “When I released my Christmas album nearly 10 years ago, I could never have imagined it would become a bit of a tradition in its own right. Every year I perform between 10 and 15 Christmas concerts all across the UK and Ireland, and I love every single one.”
