New drama and well-loved opera feature in live screenings at the Merlin this week.
On Wednesday 30th January at 6.45 pm, Verdi’s La Traviata will be screened from the Royal Opera House in London. This production is directed by Richard Eyre and features a star-studded cast, including Placido Domingo.
I’m Not Running, a new political drama by David Hare, follows on Thursday January 31st at 7.00 pm, in a filmed theatre screening from National Theatre Live.
Then, on Saturday February 2nd at 5,55pm, the Metropolitan Opera’s production of Bizet’s Carmen will be broadcast live from the New York Met. Tickets for all performances are £16. See the Merlin website for further details.
