Swing Time Frome in association with Active and In Touch Frome present an ‘Afternoon Tea Dance’, with the fabulous local swing band Alexandra’s Washboard Band.
Organisers say, “This free event is aimed at people with dementia, who have and are really benefitting from listening to music. Tamsin and Joe will be there to show some steps to those who want to learn some new dance moves while the band are playing. And there will be plenty of tea and cake for you to enjoy.
“We will be bringing together different groups in the community including beneficiaries from Active and In Touch Frome, Contact the Elderly, Songs for the Memory Frome and other local charities.
“Some of our members aren’t able to dance, but like to come along and watch and listen! So if there are any keen beginners or seasoned dancers out there who want to come along and show off your dance moves to them that would really make their day!
“Tickets are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment!”
The tea dance takes place on Sunday 14th July, at the Masonic Hall, North Parade, from 2pm to 4.30pm. To book a ticket email activeandintouch@gmail. com, call 07468 859453, or visit: www.eventbrite.co.uk
