White Row Farm in Beckington has been awarded Gold for its farm shop in the Taste of the West hospitality and retail awards 2016.
They commented on the farm shop’s ‘excellent’ quality of produce, the hard work in identifying and working with quality local producers and the enticing and appealing layout.
Staff were commended for showing great pride in their shop, a fact which owner Heather Tucker firmly believes plays a big part in their success.
Heather said, “We’ve been in the business now for so long it would be easy to be complacent about what we do but, whilst remaining true to our core purpose, we want to constantly innovate and reflect what customers want.
“We aim to give them somewhere they feel inspired by and find a relaxing way to shop and eat. We can only do this with our staff being fully behind the ideas and engaged with the business, and we are so lucky that this is what we have.
“I’m truly bowled over by all the awards we receive and value the care and time that the judging team at Taste of the West put into this process in making the awards.”
In summing up, Taste of the West judges said, “This is a delight of a venue, where they have worked hard on a good mix and variety, serving quality in a convivial environment.”
