Frome in Bloom’s Val Norvall reports, “We welcome new entries as well as all our good old “stalwarts”, and hope for another bumper year. There are all the regular categories, plus two new trophies to be won this year, which are; 13 to 18 yr old class for any gardening achievement and a ‘garden water feature’ which can involve any form of water in the garden. This trophy is in memory of a Frome in Bloom member.
“There are many other classes, 29 altogether, they range from children’s sunflowers, schools’ entries, front and back gardens to allotments and community gardens’ to name but a few
“We would like to see more shop window entries. The theme this year is ‘Summertime’.
“This display only needs to be in position for one week, with judging taking place from the 8th to the 12th of July, following RHS guidelines.
“All entries are free and entry forms can be found at Frome Town Hall in Christ Church St West and at the tourist information in Frome library, any known FIB committee member or by ringing 01373 467781.
“A form can also be downloaded from Frome in Bloom Facebook page.
