LOCAL theatre school and dance academy, Tri.art, has announced an exciting programme of workshops for half term.
First, on Monday 21st February, 10am-12pm, there is a Disney workshop. Learn the songs and dances to all of the best Disney songs, including Frozen, Encanto and Moana. Children are invited to wear their best Disney themed outfit. This workshop is for children school age and above and costs £15.
In the afternoon, from Monday 21st February, 1pm-2pm, there is Tap Time for 2. A fantastic new workshop for budding tappers to enjoy time with their grown-ups! Perfect for children who aren’t ready to leave their parents at the door and for adults who want to dust off those tap shoes or try something new.
For children of reception age and up and their willing grown up, costing £10. Both workshops are at Tri.art Studios.
Later in the week at the Merlin Theatre there is something for the older ones. On Wednesday 23rd February, 10am-2pm, have ‘Fun with Shakespeare’ – use your imagination, understand the words, discover the characters and their stories, but most of all, have a go!
Parents are invited at the end of the session for recital of sonnets and scenes.
On Thursday 24th February a firm half term favourite ‘Playing with Plays’. A fun day using creative, fun drama techniques to learn the basic building blocks of creating and devising your own play. Join students at the end of the session for a showing of their work.
