ACORN Property Group, in partnership with artist-designer Mark Merer, will be unveiling plans for a unique collection of highly innovative homes featuring striking sustainable designs in the town of Bruton.
Cubis Bruton will feature bold architecture and energy-efficient designs using sustainable resilient materials. The first phase of the development, consisting of twenty-eight 3 and 4 bedroom houses, will be launched at an exclusive event at The Chapel in Bruton in December.
New buyers will have the opportunity to see Acorn Bristol’s plans for the contemporary houses and those that reserve early will be able to choose from a host of carefully designed interior finishes and flexible layout options, allowing them to create a home to suit their lifestyle.
Robin Squire, regional managing director of the Acorn Bristol office, commented, “We are delighted to be delivering such an exciting and distinctive development in Bruton. The innovative and sustainable design is the result of close collaboration between Acorn Bristol’s design team and Mark Merer, who created the original concept for the design. Acorn is renowned for delivering innovative projects in urban settings and we are looking forward to bringing this design ethos to such a beautiful country setting.”
The scheme was developed after a significant housing need was identified in Bruton. The developers and designers have worked closely with local stakeholders and South Somerset District Council to create a housing development that meets the needs of the burgeoning town, whilst delivering high quality, architecturally stimulating and sustainable designs.
Mark Merer, the designer behind the scheme, commented, “Our aim with Cubis Bruton is to create an alternative model for how we design and build. The development is intended to be an exemplar of a sustainable residential community, architecturally innovative, delivering a high level of thermal efficiency, integrated into the landscape and enhancing the quality of life for the occupants. Acorn Bristol is recognised as a strongly design-led developer and through our collaborative work we look forward to delivering a new vision for sustainable rural living.”
Acorn Bristol will be marketing the new houses with local agents Lodestone.
“Excitement and anticipation has been building about Cubis Bruton for a while, so we are delighted to be marketing these unique, innovative houses,” said Sue Macey, managing partner of Lodestone Property.
