FROME Girl Guide, Isabel Jones has featured on the website of the national charity Against Breast Cancer, highlighting her fundraising efforts.
Isabel started collecting old and unwanted bras for the charity last year and after the Frome Times featured the story, she saw a large increase in donations.
Isabel has collected 1,700 bras which will be sent off to less economically developed countries, and for every tonne of bras collected, BCR Global Textiles will donate £1,000 to Breast Cancer UK.
A spokesperson for Against Breast Cancer said, “Thank you Isabel, you are a real credit to Girlguiding; we hope your confidence and determination inspires other young women just like you to make a positive difference, not just in their local community, but to the wider world too.”
