Film producer and founding member of dance group Faithless, Jamie Catto, is leading a one-day workshop in Frome on Saturday 29th February.
Drawing from the richly diverse wisdom, techniques and processes he has encountered during his filming, recording, philosophy voyages across all five continents, Jamie is weaving these creative techniques and exercises to spark both professional and personal breakthroughs.
About his workshop, ‘Beyond the Shadows into Peace’, Jamie says, “Something has shifted in me when it comes to ‘teaching’ my workshops. It doesn’t feel interesting any more to be ‘teaching egos to act more like souls’, which is what I sense is going on in a lot of ‘spiritual practices’.
“Now the offering is more – facilitating all of us dropping straight back into the place where we don’t need to do something clever or insightful to be more soul-like or spend forever adhering to someone else’s dogmatic lineage.”
Event organiser. Daniel Dobbie, said, “I have known Jamie for a number of years and attended this workshop a number of times. To me Jamie is not just a teacher or mentor he is someone who has actually achieved great things in the music and film world. This man does not just talk to talk but he actually walks it! Jamie is a very humble man and his experience and drive to help others see their truth and reach their goals is an inspiration to us all.”
The workshop is on Saturday 29th February, 10am-6pm, at Rise, Whittox Lane. Tickets are available from www.facebook.com/events/463873494520240/ or www. jamiecatto.com/workshops
