A little bit of New York is coming to Frome in November with a free event for home workers at The Old Church School on Butts Hill, following the success of a similar event in Bath last month.
Jelly was started in New York three years ago by a couple of IT freelancers working from home who felt the need to get out more. Described by its founders as a casual working event where people come together to work for the day, it is being organised by Judy Heminsley whose book Work from Home was published earlier this year.
“Isolation is one of the biggest challenges of working from home,” she says, “Jelly is a friendly way for home workers to get out of their home office for a change of scene, a good chat and a shot of inspiration.”
Free wi-fi access will be provided by The Old Church School, which provides another alternative to working from home in the form of rented desks and office space.
Frome Jelly will take place between 10.00am and 2.00pm on Tuesday 17th November. For more information go to Judy Heminsley’s website www.workfromhomewisdom.com.
