A FROME IT firm has been given Government accreditation for having a high standard of computer security.
Frometech, based on Bridge Street, recently received a Cyber Essentials accreditation.
Company director Jamie Seviour said, “We have achieved the Government’s Cyber Essentials accreditation! This means that we have shown that we take our system’s security extremely seriously.
“We have demonstrated to the awarding body that Frometech’s IT systems and networks are secured against vulnerabilities and malicious attacks.
“Whilst our systems have not had to change to meet the criteria for the Cyber Essentials accreditation, we decided to gain the accreditation so that we can demonstrate to all of our customers, from residential to business and schools, that our network and our data practices are safe, and therefore so is their data.
“As new threats emerge, our focus is on making sure our systems stay safe and this accreditation will help to further demonstrate our commitment to that.
“By achieving the Cyber Essentials accreditation, along with our existing accreditation with Dorset and Somerset Trading Standards Trust Mark, we have shown that we are always striving to improve our level of service to our customers.”
