ONE of the UK’s foremost writers of crime fiction, Elly Griffiths – who has appeared in the Sunday Times Bestsellers chart 19 times – will be appearing in Frome later this month.
Across all of her popular series, almost three million copies of Elly’s books have been sold – and she is well-loved for her Ruth Galloway detective novels set in Norfolk.
Elly’s Brighton-based mystery series set in the 1950s and 1960s is partly inspired by her grandfather’s life on the stage as well as the war magician Jasper Maskelyne, who claimed to have spent the war creating large scale illusions to misdirect the enemy.
Winstone’s Hunting Raven Books is thrilled to be welcoming Elly to Frome on the evening of Saturday 30th October to talk about her latest book in the Brighton Mystery series, the Midnight Hour – and of course to talk all things crime fiction!
So whether you’re a hardened Elly Griffiths fan, or you’d like to discover your next favourite crime writer, do come along for what is sure to be a fascinating and entertaining evening.
The event will take place on Saturday 30th October at Frome Town Hall, and will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5, but can be redeemed against a copy of the Midnight Hour on the night of the event (RRP £20). A range of Elly’s titles will be available to buy on the night and Elly will be happy to sign books after her talk.
