A NUMBER of businesses from Frome and the surrounding area have been shortlisted for the upcoming Mendip Business Awards.
The awards are held to recognise and celebrate some of the 5,500 independent and vibrant businesses based in Mendip.
The local businesses in the running for an award are:Busy Bees Cleaning & Maintenance for Business of the Year; BrewedBoy Ltd and Mount Art Services Ltd for New Business of the Year; Mrs B’s Caring Catering for Family Business of the Year; Lilley’s Cider, Little Jack Horner’s Ltd for the Taste of Mendip Award; Busy Bees Cleaning & Maintenance and Lilley’s Cider for Customer Service Excellence; The Walled Garden at Mells for Retail / Hospitality Business of the Year; and Critchill School’s Mobile Cafe and Cheese & Grain for Community Enterprise of the Year.
Cllr Tom Killen, deputy leader of Mendip District Council said, “Now in its fourth year, the Mendip Business Awards demonstrate the wealth of local talent in our business community. We are proud to deliver the awards, giving organisations across the district a chance to showcase excellence.
“It’s great to see organisations of all sizes enter the awards, but in particular we are always keen to hear from smaller businesses who often do not get the recognition which they deserve.”
