LOCAL rock choir leader, Emma Webb, is releasing her original music for the first time, with her debut single ‘In Time’ coming out at the end of last month.
Usually Emma would be running six sessions a week in Frome and other local towns but during lockdown, Rock Choir has been reduced to running their sessions online, using Zoom. Emma says her members have been “absolutely amazing” and she has managed to keep bringing joy and laughter with singing through her Rock Choir Zoom sessions, though adds, “it isn’t quite the same as normal.”
She says, “It’s been a strange time for self-employed musicians and music teachers, but one thing this experience has given us all, is some spare time to focus on projects we wouldn’t usually have time to do.
“So, with the help of my music and production friends, I’ve finally been able to record, produce and release my own songs. I am both nervous and excited to release my first single, In Time. I wrote it many years ago but feel the lyrics resonate with the world we are living in right now.
“I’d describe my music as honest, joyful and with a 90s’ Natalie Imbruglia-esque sound. Under the nickname ‘Em’, my music will be released on all popular streaming sites such as Spotify, and available to purchase and download on Apple Music, iTunes and Amazon music, as well as others.”
