London landmark for Frome artist

Local artist, Caroline Walsh-Waring, has achieved the enviable opportunity of exhibiting in the exclusive Gagliardi Gallery in London’s Kings Road.  

The gallery, one of the oldest contemporary galleries in London, is linked to the Chianciano Art Museum near Florence and organises the London Art Biennale opening on 20th January.

Caroline said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to bring my work to a wider audience and I am terrifically flattered; my hopes are of course that it will sell and they will ask for more!  However, just to be accepted by an established London Gallery is a massive compliment in itself, it is this sort of landmark which gives me the confidence to carry on producing work in the surrealist style I enjoy.”

Caroline is known locally for organising the Frome Artists Café, annual Frome Open Studios during the Frome Festival and has recently taken on broadcasting ‘Blonde Perspective’ an arts programme on FromeFM.

Not one to sit still for long, Caroline is currently preparing an exhibition in the Cheese and Grain in March, The Wylye Valley Art Trail in Longbridge Deverill during May and, of course, The Frome Open Studios in July.
