On Sunday 5th March, The Frome Independent will be back, lining the streets again with makers, local food producers and vintage traders.
Throughout the town centre, visitors can meet designer-makers from Frome and beyond, find vintage treasures, flowers plants and homewares, and stock up on delicious street food and local farm produce. Children’s art activities, The Vintage Mobile Disco, the Village Green, and Market Place acoustic stage will all be making a 2017 comeback too.
This month The Frome Independent also launches Night School; a new series of one-off evening craft workshops led by some of the local area’s best craftspeople. Night School kicks off on Thursday 9th March, with monthly sessions offering the chance to try whittling, food preservation, blacksmithing, bookbinding, printing and much more over the course of 2017. Courses are produced in association with Forward Space, and will take place at the Old Church School’s event space in Frome.
And finally – how does a year’s worth of discounts and offers from Frome Independent traders and participating shops sound? The Frome Independent has just relaunched its unique membership scheme – the Market Makers – which allows market fans a chance to support the event, whilst saving money with their favourite traders.
For just £20, Market Makers bag themselves a huge range of discounts, free gifts and special offers for a whole year. Membership fees support the market’s work with local charities, and free events like Frome-on-Sea.
