AFTER being postponed for two years during the pandemic, the Mells Winter Fayre, an unmissable festive market, is returning this December.
Organisers say, “The picturesque village of Mells will be opening up for two Sundays of artisan shopping, lively music and good food.
“Independent artists and vendors from across Somerset will come together to offer a range of handmade gifts and accessories. From locally-crafted jewellery to homemade jams, sustainable candles and quirky keepsakes, this eclectic market will be a great place to pick up a unique gift.
“With plenty of mulled wine to keep you warm, some lovely walks nearby and fun activities for the kids, the winter fayre can be a great opportunity for a festive family day out in the countryside.
“The profit raised by the fayre will support the village school and the community cafe. A portion of the money will also go towards the Walled Garden Plant Nursery, a non-profit organisation that provides social and therapeutic projects in the community, aiming to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst local people.
“The winter fayre will take place on Sunday the 4th and 11th of December from 10am to 4pm at the Walled Garden at Mells and the Tithe Barn. You can find more information, at www.thewalledgarden atmells.co.uk/winterfayre
