OVER the last decade or so Frome has become more vibrant and our population more diverse. From the annual Food fair to cultural exchanges to welcoming refugees, Frome has been engaged in forging new links. What is less well known is the contribution fellow non-UK Fromees have made and are making to the much lauded cosmopolitan flair of our town.
Young People Frome are organising an exciting multi-cultural Family Festival on 15th October at the Cheese and Grain from 12- 3pm, celebrating our towns diversity by making those contributions visible.
There will be demonstrations of arts and crafts, performing arts (dance and music), as well as food stalls and a display of short biographies of people who have come to live in Frome from all over the world.
While preparations are in full swing, there is still space for more groups or individuals to get involved and share aspects of your culture and heritage.
