FOLLOWING the success of Frome Museum’s College Centenary Exhibition, there are currently three small temporary displays relating to ceramics with local connections, organisations and societies in Frome, and historic cameras.
These, along with permanent exhibits, will be on show until the museum closes for the winter on November 20th.
However, there is going to be an additional opening during the weekend of the December Independent Market. On December 4th and 5th, there will be a special exhibition called ‘A Rich and Poor Christmas in Frome’. Visitors will be able to see Mr and Mrs Arthur Sutton welcoming Christmas guests into their home and up the wonderful staircase while, in another gallery, Christmas will be celebrated in a ‘Frome Weaver’s Cottage’. The rest of the museum will also be open on those two days from 10am to 3pm.
For this festive occasion, there will be mince pies, mulled cider and chocolates. As always, entry to the museum is free but donations will be gratefully received. Frome Heritage Museum is near the Bridge just beyond the Blue House. Shoppers and visitors will be made very welcome.
