FROME’S Steiner Academy will host a performance by touring music and theatre act, The Wayfarers, next Wednesday.
The performance will take place from 8pm on Wednesday 14th September.
The academy’s Paul White says, “Lament not the end of summer, for the international Wayfarers will grace the stage at Oriel Hall, Steiner Academy, as part of their world tour!
“They will present a performance of choral and instrumental music followed by a musical theatre rendition of the great family favourite ‘The Little Prince’.
“Based upon the 1943 novella by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the Little Prince is a curious tale of an otherworldy being, a crash-landed aviator and their quest to find a certain rose.
“En route they meet explorers and scientists and connect with what it is really like to be alive. With its newly retrofitted ceiling, Oriel Hall is a great space for a show such as this with its summery songs and four-dimensional action, with birds on sticks flying all around!
“The cast ranges in age from seven to seventy years old, though the performance will appeal to those even beyond this range!”
Tickets cost £8 adult, £5 child, £15 family, and can be booked by calling Shannon on 01373 832804, or can be bought on the door, subject to availability.
