Members of Frome Musical Theatre Company were recently recognised at the group’s annual glittering social evening.
Held at the Assembly Rooms last month, the company celebrated another successful year of shows. In addition to the Star Awards, three National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) long-service medals were awarded: Norm Langley and Jon O’Loughlin for 25 years’ service, and Marie George for 60 years’ service.
Frome Musical Theatre Company produces three shows a year: a traditional family pantomime, a spring musical, and a youth production in the summer. The evening celebrated the shows, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sleeping Beauty and The Addams Family.

The Star Award winners were:
- Under 21 Singing Performance – Orla Walker (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)
- Best Female Singing Performance – Victoria Clifford (The Addams Family)
- Best Male Singing Performance – Chris Taylor (The Addams Family)
- Star of the Cast – Sleeping Beauty – Jack Norris
- Best Young Female Performer – Phoebe Castle (Sleeping Beauty)
- Best Young Male Performer – Joseph Truckle (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)
- Best Comic Duo – George Langley/Georgie Rose (Sleeping Beauty)
- Unsung Hero – Mike Perry, Treasurer
- Best Comic Performance – Teresa Isaacson (The Addams Family)
- Star of the Cast – The Addams Family – Simon Joyce
- Best Supporting Actress – Anna Lee (Sleeping Beauty)
- Best Supporting Actor – Tom Bishop-Coles (The Addams Family)
- Outstanding Contribution – Sally Langley, Producer of the spring show
- Best Actor – Rob Finlay (The Addams Family)
- Best Actress – Daisy Mercedes (The Addams Family)
Members enjoyed a hot buffet provided by James Morrison Catering and a disco by Gary Williams.
