FROME’S brand new leisure centre will open to the public on Wednesday 1st June following its extensive £2million redevelopment.
The centre – named Frome Sport & Fitness Centre – has had a total makeover since being taken over by charity leisure operator, Fusion Lifestyle, last year. Although renovation work was delayed and saw the centre closed for over six months, members are assured the upgrade will be worth the wait.
General manager Sarah Cruwys said, “We are thrilled with the new facilities and think everyone is going to be delighted with the changes.
“We apologise unreservedly for any inconvenience caused by the delays, but are sure the investment and upgrade in the facilities will have made the wait worthwhile.
“As a registered charity, Fusion is on a mission to make sport and leisure affordable and accessible to all, and we are constantly investing back into our centres to ensure they are the highest standard for the local community. We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome everyone to the new centre!”
The newly re-developed Frome Sport & Fitness Centre will offer an enhanced range of facilities, including a larger and improved fitness suite with the latest equipment, a large soft play area, new classes in two new studios, a dedicated indoor cycling studio, brand new changing facilities and an improved pool area. The centre also offers indoor and outdoor facilities for team sports.
