Local residents have set up a new community company, Frome Fly Fishing Adventures.
This new venture has been set up with the aim to get local residents to enjoy, understand and appreciate the unique aquatic environments that makes up the watercourses of the Mendip Hills.
With a focus on the gentle art of Fly Fishing, FFFA founder, coach and conservationist, Atsushi Hasegawa, promises that once discovered the practice of fishing these little streams and rivers can be exceptionally therapeutic and restorative.
Gary Collinson of the association said, “We were thrilled to support this new business partnership, Fly Fishing has seen a decline in numbers over the years and we should all look to preserve this ancient sport. Frome enjoys some excellent river fishing for Chubb, Roach and Bream but it also has many miles of hidden and undiscovered trout streams, some of the best in the UK.”
