YOUTH football club, Frome Town United, has installed a new public access defibrillator on the clubhouse wall at their football ground at Critchill Manor.
The box was jointly donated to the club by Jay’s Aim – a charity that aims to reducing the rate of sudden cardiac death among young people in South-West England – and The Adam Stansfield Foundation – a charity that supports youth football teams.
Its location has been registered on a national database so the emergency services can direct people to it.
Ben Starr from the club commented, “It’s an amazing donation and everyone at the club are extremely grateful to Jay’s Aim and The Adam Stansfield Foundation for providing it to us. This will make our ever-growing facilities safer for all visitors. Let’s hope we never need to use it but it’s great to know it’s there should we have to.”
