THE Frome Medical Practice has announced that Dr Rob Taylor has been appointed a partner.
Dr Taylor will already be known to many Frome residents as he has been working as a GP at the Practice for just over three years.
Dr Taylor studied medicine at Edinburgh and worked abroad for a short period in both Australia and New Zealand before undertaking his GP training in Bristol.
Dr Taylor said, “I am absolutely delighted and indeed very excited about being appointed as a partner. The new Frome Health Centre is a stunning new building in which to work with patient facilities second to none. There are not many GP practices that are able to offer facilities such as an operating theatre.
“For the patient, it is all about trying to make available as many medical services as possible here in Frome, rather than travelling to the RUH at Bath or elsewhere.”
However, it is just not the new Medical Centre that convinced Dr Taylor that his future lay here in Frome.
Dr Taylor added, “Everyone here is very friendly. From my first day working at the old Health Centre in Park Road, my patients made me extremely welcome. Frome is also a great town in which to work. It is vibrant, has its own character and has a genuine mix which makes it so unique.”
The senior partner at the Frome Medical Practice is Dr Tina Merry. She said, “We are delighted that Dr Rob Taylor has accepted our invitation to join the partnership. He is already widely admired and respected by his own patient list and it is great that a doctor of his skill and expertise has chosen to make his professional future here at the Frome Medical Practice.”
