FROME resident, Paul Blount has published his latest collection of poetry, ‘Bugalugs’, a word that his father picked up in Australia when serving in the Royal Navy during World War II.
He would use the phrase ‘Who do you think you are, bugalugs?’ One definition of the word is as an Australian term of endearment, similar to ‘mate’ but usually used in a slightly more patronising tone.
The collection explores the impact of free speech on various aspects of our lives and is now available from Hunting Raven Bookshop in Cheap Street, Frome, direct from theclunypress@mac.com or via Amazon.
