FROME’s newest theatre group, Frome Pub Theatre, is on the lookout for talent of all kinds including actors, directors, scriptwriters and admin people for small-scale productions in the town.
“The town has excellent larger theatres, especially the Merlin and the Memorial Theatre,” says Kit Sadgrove from the group. “But despite having many fine pubs, we don’t have small productions. Pub theatre is ideal for new writing and with Frome having so much talent, it’s a good place for artists to hone their skills.
“Frome Pub Theatre plans to run ‘immersive productions’ that are inclusive, socially relevant, entertaining and popular. It also aims to avoid activities already done by other organisations, such as children’s theatre, musicals, poetry, circus and physical theatre.”
