A new local radio show and podcast called Hello Frome, has launched to shine a light on the people, human spirit and everyday acts of kindness in Frome.
Produced and presented by Lyndsey Mayhew, Hello Frome is broadcast on Frome FM 96.6 and is also available as a podcast on all platforms including Spotify and Apple. Listeners can also catch up with the latest show by visiting Frome.fm.
In the latest episode Lyndsey talks to Katie Fox, co-founder of Search & Scan the charity that seeks to reunite animals with their owners and hears all about the work that goes into finding missing pets.
Other episodes have included guests such as Lenka Grimes of Fair Frome and Ags Macleay, a Route 1 volunteer who supports young people with advocacy.
Lyndsey said, “I meet so many remarkable people in Frome just going about everyday life and I love hearing their stories, so I wanted to share them more widely. Hello Frome is about the amazing caring people, the small acts of kindness and the can-do attitude that makes it such a great community. I make podcasts for other people, so it felt like it was time I made one of my own.
“Joining the amazing Frome FM volunteer team made it possible, and being able to record in the studio has been great fun.”
