A school providing specialised education and support for young people with autism has opened in the centre of Frome.
Fromefield Manor School, which opened last month, provides individualised education and therapeutic support to help its students.
Headteacher, Gemma Drury, said, “The team at Fromefield Manor School is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people and their families.
“They believe in the power of personalised education and therapeutic support, and dedicate themselves to helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to become successful learners, responsible citizens, and confident individuals.
“At Fromefield Manor we use a person-centred approach to plan an appropriate curriculum with the young person fully at the heart.
“This approach values and celebrates our pupils’ individuality and needs and ensures that we can provide at a bespoke level, whilst also developing the very important skills for life,” she added.
The school describes their approach as flexible, ensuring that they can continuously adapt to meet the changing needs of their students.
They are focused on providing a supportive and nurturing environment where young people can develop the educational, social, and life skills necessary for a happy and fulfilling future.
