New bus timetables for the D2 and D2X between Bath and Frome, operated by First Bus, the X34 Faresaver service, and the 24 bus between Frome and Salisbury, came into effect on Sunday 31st August.
Peter Travis and Tracey Harding of Frome and Villages Bus Users Group (FAVBUG), along with Cllr Philip Campagna, hosted a stall in the town centre on 30th August to share the new bus timetables and to launch September’s national Catch the Bus Month campaign.
Peter Travis said, “The new timetable for the D2 service means that the first bus to Bath in the morning leaves 20 minutes earlier, so check all your regular journeys to avoid being caught out. If you didn’t catch us in town on 30th August, you can pick up the new bus timetables from the Discover Frome information point in the library or from the town hall. If you’re online, you can find them on the operators’ websites or the Frome Town Council website.
“Every journey helps keep our towns and villages connected. That’s why listening to bus users and making services work for everyone is at the heart of what we do at Somerset Bus Partnership.
“If you spot anything that needs sorting or you have thoughts to share about local bus services, please let us know at somersetbuspartnership.co.uk/contact-us. And if you could spare a couple of hours a month to be one of our Bus Champions and get involved, even better.”
