FROME Jazz Club (FJC) will feature two players in November – Dr Andy Keep (Thursday 2nd November) and Emma Harris (Sunday 26th November).
Frome Jazz Club is rapidly gaining a reputation for the high energy and high quality of its gigs, held in the intimate setting of the Cornerhouse pub in Frome (1 Christchurch Street East, Frome, Somerset BA11 1QA) – and all are free entry, so early arrival is advised if you want a seat.
On Thursday 2nd November, Frome Jazz Club presents Expect Anything, with Dr Andy Keep.
Multi-genre composer, experimental electronic musician, virtuoso jazz bassist, and founder of legendary UK trip-hop act Earthling, Dr Andy Keep is famous for his raw, edgy, experimental soundscapes. Bristol jazz and funk fans remember fondly his 13-year residence at the Old Duke with Code Red, legendary for tearing up the rule book. Now Andy has just moved to Frome and we see no reason to give him the luxury of settling in gradually, so we’ve nabbed him immediately for FJC.
Entry free, doors 7pm, and as always, early arrival advised. https://www.facebook.com/events/2085502345069618
On Sunday 26th November, Frome Jazz Club presents Emma sings Ella, with Emma Harris.
“We’re delighted to welcome back to FJC Emma Harris, a singer much-loved by Frome audiences.
“Emma’s beautiful voice and authentic jazz stylings are a perfect match for the music of the great Ella Fitzgerald, so Sunday 26th November will be an evening of unadulterated pleasure for jazz lovers – especially as Emma will be accompanied by piano virtuoso John Law and his trio.”
Entry free, doors 7pm, and as always, early arrival advised. https://www.facebook.com/events/2087609104805825
