THE Merlin Theatre will screen an innovative film made by young film-makers from Frome and its three twin towns of Murrhardt in Germany, Château-Gontier in France, and Rabka-Zdrόj in Poland, on Saturday 9th September.
The project arose from a Twinning visit made to Frome and has been led by Harry Foreman from Frome and Olga Berroth and Claramarie Sternagel from Murrhardt. It involved groups of young people from 15 – 19 years of age, making short films about their town, which were compiled into one film under the heading of Films4Europe.
Tickets for the Frome premiere of the film at 7.45pm are available from the Merlin Theatre box office, free of charge.
To celebrate this event, some of the young people involved are travelling to Frome for the weekend. They would very much like to meet young people from Frome of a similar age whilst they are here, to make new friendships and discuss possible follow-up contacts.
If any young people from Frome would be interested in meeting up, and would be available sometime during the day on Saturday 9th September, please phone or text Justin Worringham on 07767 648110 so that he can put you in touch, or message one of the Films4Europe team on their Facebook page.
