TWO members of Frome’s neighbourhood policing team have been recognised for their valuable service to the community by the High Sheriff of Somerset, Johnnie Halliday.
Sergeant Rachel Clark and police community support officer, Mike Storey, were presented with their awards at a special ceremony held in Taunton late last month.
Speaking to Frome Times, Rachel, who is Frome’s Person of the Year 2018 said, “It was a surprise for Mike and me to receive the awards. It’s really nice to be recognised for the work that we do – Mike and I are quite humble and just get on with what we do. It’s great for Frome that two of us have been recognised, we must be doing something right!”
Mike, who works within the rural communities surrounding Frome, said, “I am fortunate to work alongside good people within the force and within the rural community of Frome.”
