THE Artisan in Frome has been announced as a finalist for a national award just over a year after being brought back to life by new owners.
The pub on Christchurch Street West won the regional ‘Best Newcomer’ category at the Great British Pub Awards recently. The victory means it is one of six pubs nationwide in with a chance of winning the national ‘Best Newcomer’ award.
Landlady Siobhan Cook said, “We’re absolutely thrilled to have made it to the top six of such a big national award!
“It’s extremely rewarding for us as a team and a business to be recognised alongside competition from all over the country.
“I’m really happy with how things are going here now that we’ve settled in and have a good understanding of who our customers are and what they want. Thank you to all of our customers for your support.”
Siobhan took over at The Artisan in 2015 after moving to the town from London. The pub underwent a major refurbishment, launched a new menu and now hosts regular events and live music.
