THE Cheese and Grain presents a new 6-a-side football league for pubs and shops in the town.
Organisers say, “Pubs vs Shops is a cheap, fun and all inclusive 6-a-side competition pitting the retail and hospitality staff of Frome against each other throughout the summer, with 10 weekly 30-minute games, two semi-finals and a grand final on August 20th at Frome Leisure Centre from 5-8pm.
“At £15 per team per game, it is at least half the price of any small sided league in Frome.
“The Round Robins begin on Tuesday 4th June continuing every Tuesday until Tuesday 13th August when the semi-finals begin before the final on Tuesday 20th August.
“There are just 12 spaces, so enter your team ASAP. Teams must be affiliated to a place of retail or hospitality in Frome, meaning at least three regular players must currently work at the represented business.
“Shortly after the final, players are welcome to a presentation evening at the Cheese and Grain, where money left over from the season will be used to celebrate the league stars (and tryers!)
