THE Memorial Theatre lineup is jam-packed with music and entertainment for the coming weeks.
On Saturday 2nd December – 8.00pm Rich Hall’s Hoedown. Rich Hall’s critically acclaimed new show began its second leg of touring in September. There has never been a better time to be an American comedian in the UK; Hall’s precision dismantling of the tenuous relationship between two countries is as freewheeling and deadly accurate as ever.
His BBC Four documentaries, most recently Rich Hall’s Countrier Than You and Rich Hall’s Presidential Grudge Match, and BBC Radio 4 series Rich Hall’s (US Election) Breakdown, have built him a new legion of followers, as have appearances on Have I Got News For You and QI. But if you’ve only ever seen Hall on TV, you’ve short-changed yourself. Ticket prices* – £17.00.
Friday 8th December – 7.30pm. One Night Of Queen – Gary Mullen & The Works
Since winning Stars in Their Eyes in 2000 with a record 864,838 votes, Gary Mullen has toured the world with his breathtaking One Night of Queen. His uncanny vocal resemblance to the late Freddie Mercury has enthralled hundreds of thousands of people throughout the UK, USA, Europe, South Africa and New Zealand.
One Night of Queen, performed by Gary Mullen and The Works is a spectacular live concert, recreating the look, sound, pomp and showmanship of arguably the greatest rock band of all time.
