Half term is upon us which means the Reach for the Bubbles family disco is back in town for a nostalgic 1980’s special.
Lionel Richtea has plenty of party games up his sleeve: Mr Motivator style stretchy warm ups, themed weather, tool and animal dancing to 1980’s classics such as It’s Raining Men, Sledge Hammer and early drum and bass; line dancing to Thriller and David Bowie’s Let’s Dance; plus some Black Lace party classics.
Along with the party games there will be giant bubbles, hat making, face painting from Painted People and spongey play shapes.
Don’t forget it’s 1980’s themed so dig deep in the loft for your shoulder pads, loafers and crimpers. Think Boy George, Cindi Lauper, Bananarama and Adam Ant.
“Reach for the Bubbles is a family disco aimed for the under 8’s and adults of any age.” says one of the organisers, Andy Jacobs.
“We don’t play ‘kids music’ as the event is aimed to be enjoyable for all. The kids love dancing like a giraffe to Jungle Animals whilst the parents appreciate the early Drum and Bass vibes at the same time!
The event is on Saturday 4th June 3:30-5:30 at The Wheatsheaves, Frome. Tickets are £3 or £10 for a family ticket. For more info and tickets head to…
