THE fifth annual bike jumble for the Bike Project took place on Sunday 11th September alongside Cycle Sunday and Welshmill Pump Track’s 10th anniversary celebration. The jumble was a huge success with over 140 bikes donated and nearly £4,000 raised in support of Frome Community Bike Project.

This additional money has unlocked £16,000 in match funding from Sport England and British Cycling, meaning that the Frome Community Bike Project Crowdfunder campaign is now close to reaching its target and delivering the project for Frome.
Emma Parker from the Frome Community Bike Project said, “This is only the beginning though, once funded, there will be a lot to do. This is a hugely exciting stage in the project, we’re tantalisingly close to reaching our goal, so a huge thank you to the people of Frome for their support so far. We know though that we’re going to need to buy and convert shipping containers, so the support of people in the local area who are keen to help will be key!”
The Frome Community Bike Project’s Crowdfunder campaign has been extended to run until Sunday 9th October and is raising funds for their workshop and tools. They have some fantastic offers from local businesses who have shown support for the project. Anyone can donate to the project and claim one of the many rewards on offer.
