FROME’S favourite record shop recently celebrated their best sales ever on Record Store Day 2016, when customers queued from as early as 4.45am to get their hands on exclusive material.
Local musicians played outside Raves From The Graves as 50-60 music lovers bustled through the door throughout the day on Saturday 16th April.
Raves from the Graves’ Andrew Birch said, “The day was a huge success and once again we were busier than last year. Every year it goes from strength to strength, it just keeps getting better. It’s our busiest day of the year.”
The local musicians that entertained the queues of people were Sara Vian and Rivers Of England.
Record Store Day is a worldwide initiative set up to support independent record stores across the globe. It takes place on the third Saturday of April every year, and sees huge numbers of one-off records from many artists.
