A MEMBER of Frome’s CrossFit UVA and Affinity Wellbeing achieved success at the latest national Superhuman Event ‘Elite’ was held at Fort Ashton Crossfit gym in Bristol recently.
The fitness centre says, “It was an individuals’ event that consisted of three tough qualifying workouts over the course of three weeks. This was followed by another three gruelling workouts on the finals day. The workouts included a variety of modalities including rowing, kettlebells, dumbbells, various Olympic lifting and more.
The points over all six workouts were accumulated and the top five men and top five women fought it out in one last workout to determine the podium places.
Fran Hunter, who trains at, and represented Crossfit UVA with Affinity Wellbeing in Frome, finished in second place.
